Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey Update
Kings crown Nipigon

Nov. 26--A four-goal first period was more than enough as the Mitsubishi Motors Kings went on to thump the Nipigon Elks 9-0 Wednesday night in Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey League action at Fort William First Nation Arena.

In the opening frame Andrew Wiebe had two of the goals while Cullen Meritt and Spencer Hogan had the others.

Second period scoring saw Kevin Missere, Sam Dubinsky and Hogan once again all find the back of the net.

Todd Skirving tallied once once and set-up Josh Elvish for the other in the third period for the final two goals of the evening.

Colin Dzijacky only had to make 12 saves to record the shutout in a game that saw the Kings pump 62 shots on Nipigon netminder Thomas Gratz.

League play continues Thursday when the K&A Wolverines take on the Northern Hawks at the Tournament Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
