Nov. 22--The K&A Wolverines continued their winning ways Thursday evening as they mauled the Nipigon Elks 12-1 in Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey League action at the Tournament Centre.
Corey Fortier was the big gun for K&A scoring four times in the rout while Adrian Cordes, Justin Backor, Luke DeCal, Larry Johanson, Brian Glavish, Tanner Adduono, Sean Spenrath and Josh Sigurdson added singles.
Brent Winkwoth chipped in with three assists as the Wolverines improved to a league-best 10-0-3 on the year. Kelly Heikkila faced 15 shots in earning the win in net.
Evan Stewart had the lone Nipigon marker while Davis Buchanan and Cody Junttola both saw action in goal.
The Elks are right back at it Friday as they host the visiting Northern Hawks in a 7:30 p.m. start at Nipigon Arena.
