Nov. 17-- A pair of third period power play goals helped the Superior Eagles rally for a 3-3 tie against the K&A Wolverines Saturday in Thunder Bay Jr. B/Juvenile/AAA Hockey League play in Marathon.
Steve McParland, Ben Gamache and Cam Gross tallied for the hometown Eagles in the draw while Sean Spenrath, Larry Johanson and Corey Fortier replied for the Wolverines.
Markus Leikkari made 34 saves in the Eagles net in the tie while Kelly Heikkila faced 22 shots in the K&A cage.
The two teams wrap up their three-game weekend set at 2 p.m. Sunday while the North End Flames host the Nipigon Elks in the league's other game of the day, which goes at 8 p.m. at Delaney Arena.
